Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48, with 185 miles of shoreline, 200 square miles of water and countless breathtaking views. There are public access sites around the lake and it also features Wildhorse Island, a state park accessible only by boat. Residents and visitors enjoy sailing, power boating, boat tours, water skiing, fishing and camping and there are numerous restaurants, motels and cabin rentals all around the shoreline.
